Whatever you want or need to do, commit to it with your full heart.
James (Jax) Martin
What is your role in The Lance?
Writer
What do you love most about The Lance?
Having the freedom to write about things that not only I find interesting, but being able to share my interests with the school while also writing about what the school wants to hear.
What are your Hobbies?
Playing video games, watching movies, and painting miniatures.
Why did you decide to join The Lance?
Because I love journalism and thought that I might as well give it a shot.
What advice would you give the underclassmen?
Do as many different things as possible. You might go into high school thinking that you are 100% going to become a pro football player, only to realize that you actually want to do track or theater later down the line. Be open, do things that challenge you, no one cares after high school what you did in high school, so just try new things, because there are so many opportunities available to you now.

What do you love most about The Lance?
Being able to yap in a document about something I'm interested in.
What are your Hobbies?
Coding, drawing, setting plans months ahead, and practicing piano
Why did you decide to join The Lance?
No reason in particular, just had it added to my schedule
What advice would you give the underclassmen?
Skipping isn't worth it. Go to all your classes, pay attention, and don't be afraid to be different. Most importantly, be kind to everyone

What do you love most about The Lance?
The freedom of writing about things that I love and am passionate about.
What are your Hobbies?
Reading, hanging out with friends, and watching MTV.
Why did you decide to join The Lance?
Because I am planning on studying journalism in college. Plus I've always loved reading The Lance!
What advice would you give the underclassmen?
Only you know what you love! Find something that you truly love doing, not something that you think is what you're supposed to do.

Hanging out with friends, watching sports, and tv series.

I needed one more credit and I thought it would be fun

Be yourself, don't try to be someone else, fit out not in.

I love that I have the freedom to write about topics that I am passionate about. It gives me a chance to have my voice heard.

Don't lose yourself while trying to impress everyone else.

Don't think that high school has to be the "best years of your life." It is okay to not love it.
