As someone frequently getting boba, here are my top 3 recommendations for people looking to try it for the first time or looking for someplace new.
Icy Bubbles
Icy Bubbles is the best spot for boba. Unfortunately, both of their current locations are in Moline, which can be pretty inconvenient. But the good news is they are currently in the process of building a Davenport location! Their beverage selection is unbeatable with 85 different options. These include fruit teas, milk teas, tiger stripe milk teas, energy drinks, slushes, smoothies, and specialty smoothies. They also offer 14 different boba flavors and a few jelly options, making for endless combinations. Plus, Icy Bubbles is 1 of 2 places in the Quad Cities that serves rolled ice cream, another treat worth trying. I highly recommend giving Icy Bubble a try the next time you're on the Illinois side.

Eddy's Snack Bar
Eddy’s Snack Bar is the perfect spot to grab a refreshing boba and hang out. With 28 drink flavors, from unique choices like avocado to classics like brown sugar milk tea, there’s something for everyone. Most drinks can be served iced or blended, and you can choose from tapioca boba, mango-popping boba, or strawberry-popping boba. Eddy’s is my first recommendation for boba if you are not looking to travel to Illinois. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat or just looking for a chill place to relax, Eddy’s never disappoints.

Toppings and More offers a selection of milk and fruit teas in 22 different flavors, along with two boba options and one type of jelly. Making it the location with the smallest drink variety on my list. However, what sets Toppings and More apart is that, like Icy Bubble, they also serve rolled ice cream, adding a fun and customizable dessert option. In addition to their drinks and ice cream, they also offer a delicious assortment of pastries and specialty waffles. Making it a great spot for those with a sweet tooth. Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing tea, a cold treat, or a tasty pastry, Toppings and More is always a great option.
