Game, set, match . . . The Lancers are ready
2024 Season

For the first time in decades, the team was able to send three girls to state. Freshman, Maddy Jepsen went for singles and placed fifth overall. The two upperclassmen, Kaci Johnson and Olive Khoury, went together as a doubles team, and battled it out at the state tournament. The team as a whole was able to secure third place in the Mississippi Athletic Conference tournament at the end of the season, and all of the team placed top four for their positions. The successful season has left other teams worried about what North Scott will bring to the table.Â
Returning VarsityÂ

Fortunately, the Lancers will have four returning varsity players. Maddy Jepsen, Olive Khoury, Sydney Groene, and Haley Link. The four girls, the previous year, managed to secure multiple wins across the board. These past couple months the girls have been training to prepare for the upcoming season. Three of the four will be seniors this year and have improved drastically over the years. The other open spots have plenty of contenders with a wide range of skills. Four returning varsity players set the team up for a promising season.Â
Upcoming Meets
This year the Lady Lancers schedule has changed. They have now been invited to play with the top teams in the state. These teams include Dowling Catholic, Waukee Northwest, Des Moines Valley, Johnston, Pleasant Valley, and Clinton. Plenty of great matches ahead for the Lady Lancers. Over the past few years the program has grown substantially to become one of top schools in the Mississippi Athletic Conference.
This year should be exciting for the girls. With much preparation and a strong returning team, the Lancers have much to look forward to.
