Iowa Assessments
Iowa Assessments will take place at the high school on Tuesday, November 7th and Wednesday, November 8th for students in grades 9-11. We will run a two hour late start on both of those days for seniors only since they are not required to test. The 2 hour late start schedule for seniors only is listed below. All students grades 9-11 are required to be at school at 7:45 on November 7th and 8th.

PSAT
Attention Sophomores and Juniors:
The PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test will be offered at the high school from 7:45-11:45 on Wednesday, October 11th. This is a comprehensive test that measures college readiness in verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities and writing skills. Additionally the test is used by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as their initial screening of entrants in its annual competition for recognition and college scholarships for juniors. Interested students may sign up now in the counseling office. The cost is $16/test.
Sign up by September 21st to ensure a spot.
ACT
The next ACT exam will be offered at North Scott High School on October 28th. The registration deadline is September 22nd. To register to take the ACT log into www.actstudent.org. The ACT is offered at different times during the school year but is offered at North Scott High School in October, April and now in July. If your child would like to take the ACT exam on another testing date, there are schools in the Quad Cities area that offer the test. All of that information can be found at www.actstudent.org.
